Any topic suggestions?

Hello all! Once again, this post will be one where I ask you for your excellent ideas and suggestions.

In my attempts to reach out for a bit wider audience, I've offered to do let other people write posts here.  And while my topic ideas aren't all that bad, they feel a lot like topics that I've covered more than once before.

I was hemming and hawing about this over the weekend when I got a clever idea.

I'll ask you ladies and gents.

The way I see it, the best way to deliver the goods to my readers would be to ask my readers which goods they'd like to see.

So... now I'd love to hear from you:

What writing/editing/revision/literary world topics would you like for me to cover?

I'd love to hear from you. :-)

  1. You have read ample books dear Misha!! Spotting and writing about trends / themes in novels will be cool!!

For Eg: .. How ever big a flirt a boy is, women consider them blind to love and all such.

How ever good a man is in training, he shall piss when the bullets fly in first combat!!

such ideas are repeating in novels. You can spot them out and help newbie's with these tips!!

    with warm regards

  2. Ha! If could answer this, I'd be writing it for my blogs. ;)

So far I've been lucky. The ideas seem to come the week before I need to write the post. Often they strike while I'm running. Whatever I'm working on at the time usually inspires the blog post.

  3. You can write about how your everyday activities influence your writing. For example - how would the fact that you recently started jogging influence what your characters do? Would it influence one or all of them?

  4. How about a diary of your feelings...what you go through as you write. You know, your frustrations, fears, and insecurities...and any positive moments you have.

Also, Sir Poops-A-Lot and Hair Ball will be e-mailing thier piece to you by Wednesday evening.

  5. I would like to know about South African food. Maybe include a few pictures and stuff. What does it look like and is it tasty?

  7. I like elephants. Just trying to be helpful. :)

I've been stuck thinking up blog posts too. I find if I skim through photo sites like Flckr I usually find something that prompts an idea.

  10. Maybe have artists who have done cover art do a guest post or two.

  11. I often read other blogs, and when I find myself leaving a really long comment or going into a ramble, I skim off the top, use that for the comment, and save the rest for my blog ;)

  12. I guess it depends on the audience you're trying to capture. New writers? Seasoned writers? Anyone in the blogosphere?
I like reading about the personal side of writers such as their individual experiences with rejections, things that inspire them daily, their travels. Not just the writing stuff.
